John T. Palmer Founder, Chairman of the Board
Mr. Palmer was born and raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in geology from Lehigh University in 1948. He began his career with Stanolind Oil and Gas Company as a scout-geologist in Shreveport, Louisiana. He joined Lyons Petroleum, Inc. in 1951 where he was responsible for several new field discoveries and field extensions in some 25 separate areas across East Texas, North Louisiana and South Arkansas.

Significant among these were discoveries in East Texas at New Diana and West Tyler, and field extensions at Carthage, Shamburger Lake, and Moly Jane fields. Also, while at Lyons, he was responsible for the Bodcaw Sand discovery at Bayou Middle Fork in North Louisiana, as well as significant field extensions at Walker Creek, Fouke, and Bradley West in South Arkansas.
Mr. Palmer became an independent geologist in 1970 and continued his successes in East Texas with extensions of eight fields including those at Ann McKnight, Percy Wheeler and Larissa. His field discoveries continued into North Louisiana at Red Oak Lake and a significant extension of the Danville Field. He formed Palmer Petroleum, Inc. in 1977 and served as its President and Chairman of the Board. Palmer Petroleum continued Mr. Palmer’s successes at Aventura Ranch and Overton East and substantial field extensions at North Henderson, Alabama Ferry and North Shongaloo-Red Rock. Palmer Petroleum continued its success into Mississippi with new discoveries at North and East Yellow Creek. Palmer Petroleum later made three discoveries in Alabama at Monroeville, North Monroeville and Drewry.

An AAPG member of long standing, Mr. Palmer is a Certified Petroleum Geologist and has remained active in both local and national geological organizations. He actively supports the Independent Petroleum Association of America and helped organize the Louisiana Association of Independent Producers and Royalty Owners (LAIPRO), now LOGA.

Ronnie MadoleOperations Manager
Mr. Madole has over 30 years of oil and gas industry experience in drilling, completion, and production operations. He served for 17 years as a Field Supervisor and Operations Manager for Crow Interests in Shreveport, Louisiana prior to joining Palmer Petroleum in 2001. Since 2006, he has held the position of Operations Manager for Palmer. His Upper Gulf Coast experience spans East Texas to Alabama, and includes all oil and gas operational, regulatory, environmental, and safety oversight.
Laura C. SpeirController
Mrs. Speir has over 25 years of experience in oil and gas accounting and tax preparation. She began her career working for a local CPA firm in 1990, and 5 years later, she became the Assistant Controller for Sklar & Phillips Oil Company. She joined Palmer Petroleum, Inc. in 2000 as the Controller.

She received her B.S. in Accounting from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, and is a Certified Public Accountant with current memberships in the American Institute of CPAs, the Society of Louisiana CPAs, and the Ark-La-Tex Chapter of COPAS.

George P. WhittingtonSr. Landman
Mr. Whittington has over 5 years of experience in Petroleum Land Management. He began his career in 2010 as a Landman for Goodrich Petroleum Corporation, where he was responsible for managing Goodrich Petroleum’s leasing activities and acreage position in Southeast Louisiana (Tuscaloosa Marine Shale) while maintaining developed acreage in North Louisiana (Haynesville Shale). He joined Palmer Petroleum, Inc., in 2015 as Senior Landman.

Mr. Whittington received his Bachelor of Science from the College of Education & Human Development at Northwestern State University of Louisiana and a certificate in Professional Land Management from the College of Business at the University of Houston. He is a Registered Professional Landman and is currently a member of the American Association of Professional Landman, Ark-La-Tex Association of Professional Landmen and the Mississippi Association of Petroleum Landman.
